Advantages of medical face mask materials

Speaking of medical face masks, everyone is no stranger. In hospitals and other places with many germs, many people often see them wearing medical masks. So how do medical masks prevent toxins such as germs from entering the human body?

First of all, from the material of medical masks, the filter cloth it uses mainly absorbs bacteria and viruses and blocks pathogens. The dense filter layer uses N95 filter material to filter out particles and effectively block flying wipes, blood, body fluids and secretions . Mask strips are two long strips that pass through the channels on both sides of the mask. The nose clip is placed in the upper center of the filter layer and placed between the dense layer and the filter layer. The material is metal or metal-plastic composite, which has both plasticity and strength, which is convenient for the nose to be sealed when worn.

It can be said that medical masks are the best items to protect mutual infection between medical staff and patients. Therefore, it must be made according to national requirements to make the bacterial filtration efficiency reach 95% or more, which is the most important role of medical masks.

As everyone knows, medical masks are simple masks used in hospitals, but for it is not only these surface phenomena, its filtering mechanism and selection of raw materials are very particular about how to achieve the filtering effect, how to Better ventilation effect, these are some points we haven't noticed. Today, I will introduce its filtering mechanism to everyone, let's learn together.

From the analysis of the filtering principle, there are mainly five types of filtering dust mechanisms.

(1) Brownian motion Because the particle size is too small, it is susceptible to the continuous impact of other air-breaking molecules, causing their motion trajectory to be an irregular Brownian motion, and the smaller the particles adsorbed on the fiber surface, the stronger the effect.

(2) The size of the intercepting particles is too large to penetrate the voids of the fiber, and is then directly captured by the fiber surface. The larger the particle size, the better the effect.

(3) Inertial impact Inertia is the continuous nature of the particle's own motion. If the gas and the suspended particles hit the filter cloth or filter material at the same speed, the gas will change its flow direction with the holes in the filter material. Large particles will still maintain the original flow direction due to inertia, so they will hit the filter material to achieve the filtering function. The larger the mass and the faster the particles, the better the filtering effect.
